This is known as the snares law. Attaches law apply to as far as possible. Proceeded with use of burden past as far as possible outcomes to the material getting plastic, That is, its lengthening isn't relative to the applied burden and doesn't recover its unique shape once the power is expelled. The idea of stress was presented by Cauchy in 1822; Cauchy discovered that a body was exposed to surface and inside powers. These caused the distortion on the body. At the point when stress is consistently circulated over the cross-sectional region of a body, it very well may be determined utilizing the equation (1), in any case, the pressure isn't consistently conveyed. Cauchy determined the condition of worry at a given point and saw it as provided continuously request tensor given underneath. Another variant of the Mohr stress circle is utilizing the polar methodology technique. The Mohr stress circle can likewise be utilized for the assurance of worry in the three dimensional plane. A unique Mohr circle is attracted to compute the ostensible and shear worry in the three dimensional plane. Different strategies utilized in the assurance of stress incorporate the Biot stress tensor and the Kirchhoff stress tensor (Dieter, 1989). When all is said in done the assurance of stress utilizing the graphical strategies was relentless and unpredictable, one required a great deal of aptitudes to draw these circles and decide the typical and shear pressure. The technique had numerous numerical blunders. These techniques have to a great extent been supplanted by automated material quality examination (Marsden and Hughes1994). Current techniques for the assessment of stress incorporate the utilization of software's. Programming's, for example, AutoCAD and strong works empower architects to have a nitty gritty investigation of the conduct of the planned item under stacking. This aides in creating items that don't flop without any problem. Another program that is broadly utilized is the Finite component investigation program. It empowers the graphical portrayal of a structured building segment under burden. References Health food nut, G. (1989). Mechanical Metallurgy. New York: McGraw-Hill. Ferdinand, P. (1992). Stereotypes Against Asian-Americans - 1464 Words
Stereotypes Against Asian-Americans The concept of stereotype is defined as ââ¬Å"a belief that associates a group of people with certain traitsâ⬠(Kassin, Fein, Markus et al., 2008, p. 133), which can influence a personââ¬â¢s thinking process and perception of others as well as the world. Stereotypes are related to other concepts, such as prejudice and discrimination, which strengthen the distortion of peopleââ¬â¢s reality. Another component of a stereotype includes the concept of outgroup homogeneity effect which is the ââ¬Å"tendency to assume that there is greater similarity among members of outgroups than among members of ingroupsâ⬠(Kassin et al., 2008, p. 135). The concept of outgroup homogeneity effect refers to a misconception of others causedâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦134). In Gran Torino, the concept of social categorization is depicted by Waltââ¬â¢s ignorance of Sueââ¬â¢s (Taoââ¬â¢s sister) ethnic background, in which he asks her, ââ¬Å"What is a... where is Hmong or whate ver?â⬠she responds by saying, ââ¬Å"Wow! Youââ¬â¢re so enlightened. Hmong isnââ¬â¢t a place, itââ¬â¢s a people. Hmong people come from different parts of Laos and Thailand and Chinaâ⬠(Eastwood et al., Eastwood, 2008). Another example of social categorization is shown by Walterââ¬â¢s misconceptions about Sueââ¬â¢s and other Asian-Americans ethnic backgrounds when he said, ââ¬Å"What in the hellââ¬â¢s the matter with you? I thought all you Asian girls were supposed to be so smart. Thatââ¬â¢s how you end up in the obituaries, that is, if they can identify your body once they pull it out of the goddamned riverâ⬠(Eastwood et al., Eastwood, 2008). The concept of social categorization leads to a misconception that Asians have similar ethnic background and places of origin. However, people are mistaken because they fail to make a distinction between their place of origin, ethnicity, and class, which leads to an overlap and intersection of their definition of an Asian-American identity. This misconception is shown otherwise by the New York Times article when it states: ââ¬Å"defined categories of Asian-American and Pacific Islander included dozens of groups, each with its own language and culture, as varied as the Hmong, Samoans,Show MoreRelatedStereotypes in American Born Chinese Essay examples1486 Words à |à 6 Pages All women are too sensitive! A Brief Note On Drug Abuse Treatment For Nonviolent Addicts
HLTH 4375 Final Project 1. Explain your health policy concerning this health priority. Replacing Prison Terms with Drug Abuse Treatment for nonviolent addicts Historically, those of a drug or substance abuse are thought of as criminals and given prison terms for their addiction. With the current Heroin epidemic, our prisons are filling-up, costing taxpayers approximately $30,000 a year, per prisoner (msnbc). In particular, Licking County has seen a 47% increase from 2014, in the number of drug overdoses (Bruner, 2016). With such statistics, I find that instead of incarceration, these individuals should be sentenced a court ordered rehabilitation. By doing so, we would be shifting from a criminal issue to a public health issue. Instead of the large amount of taxpayersââ¬â¢ money used for incarceration, we could use such funds to support drug treatment programs, which show stronger record of success. MSNBC states that every dollar invested in drug treatment saves taxpayers more than $18 in crime-related societal costs. My one concern regarding this policy is the safet y of the public. However, I find that such sentence should only be granted to those who are nonviolent, or have no previous criminal history. In addition, I find that drug trafficking or the selling of drugs should result in a more serious/harsh sentence. With the help of important stakeholders, I hope to implement this policy with positive outcomes including survivors living a healthy and fulfilling life, through a

Counterfeiting Money Essay Example For Students
Counterfeiting Money Essay N/ABefore reading this, it would be a very good idea to get a book on photo offset printing, for this is the method used in counterfeiting US currency. If you are familiar with this method of printing, counterfeiting should be a simple task for you. Genuine currency is made by a process called gravure, which involves etching a metal block. Since etching a metal block is impossible to do by hand, photo offset printing comes into the process. Photo offset printing starts by making negatives of the currency with a camera, and putting the negatives on a piece of masking material (usually orange in color). The stripped negatives, commonly called flats, are then exposed to a lithographic plate with an arc light plate maker. The burned plates are then developed with the proper developing chemical. One at a time, these plates are wrapped around the plate cylinder of the press. The press to use should be an 11 by 14 offset, such as the AB Dick 360. Make 2 negatives of the portrait side of the bill, and 1 of the back side. After developing them and letting them dry, take them to a light table. Using opaque on one of the portrait sides, touch out all the green, which is the seal and the serial numbers. The back side does not require any retouching, because it is allone color. Now, make sure all of the negatives are registered (lined up correctly) on the flats. By the way, every time you need another serial number, shoot 1 negative of the portrait side, cut out the serial number, and remove the old serial number from the flat replacing it with the new one. Now you have all 3 flats, and each represents a different color: black, and 2 shades of green (the two shades of green are created by mixing inks). Now you are ready to burn the plates. Take a lithographic plate and etch three marks on it. These marks must be 2 and 9/16 inches apart, starting on one of the short edges. Do the same thing to 2 more plates. Then, take 1 of the flats and place it on the plate, exactly lining the short edge up with the edge of the plate. Burn it, move it up to the next mark, and cover up the exposed area you have already burned. Burn that, and do the same thing 2 more times, moving the flat up one more mark. Do the same process with the other 2 flats (each on a separate plate). Develop all three plates. You should now have 4 images on each plate with an equal space between each bill. The paper you will need will not match exactly, but it will do for most situations. The paper to use should have a 25% rag content. By the way, Disaperf computer paper (invis ible perforation) does the job well. Take the paper and load it into the press. Be sure to set the air, buckle, and paper thickness right. Start with the black plate (the plate without the serial numbers). Wrap it around the cylinder and load black ink in. Make sure you run more than you need because there will be a lot of rejects. Then, while that is printing, mix the inks for the serial numbers and the back side. You will need to add some white and maybe yellow to the serial number ink. You also need to add black to the back side. Experiment until you get it right. Now, clean the press and print the other side. You will now have a bill with no green seal or serial numbers. Print a few with one serial number, make another and repeat. Keep doing this until you have as many different numbers as you want. Then cut the bills to the exact size with a paper cutter. You should have printed a large amount of money by now, but there is still one problem; the paper is pure white. To dye it, mix the following in a pan: 2 cups of hot water, 4 tea bags, and about 16 to 20 drops of green food coloring (experiment with this). Dip one of the bills in and compare it to a genuine US bill. Make the necessary adjustments, and dye all the bills. Also, it is a good idea to make them look used. For example, wrinkle them, rub coffee grinds on them, etc. .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b , .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b .postImageUrl , .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b , .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b:hover , .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b:visited , .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b:active { border:0!important; } .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b:active , .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u6317ceb281a965ea1251d0cf2ef2d02b:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Hypnosis (674 words) EssayAs before mentioned, unless you are familiar with photo offset printing, most of the information in this article will be fairly hard to understand. Along with getting a book on photo offset printing, try to see the movie To Live and Die in LA. It is about a counterfeiter, and the producer does a pretty good job of showing how to counterfeit. A good book on the subject is The Poor Mans James Bond. If all of this seems too complicated to you, there is one other method available for counterfeiting: The Canon color laser copier. The Canon can replicate ANYTHING in vibrant color, including US currency. But, once again, the main problem in counterfeiting is the paper used. So, experiment, and good luck!Words/ Pages : 874 / 24
